What is Fairywings & Sparkly Things?

A unique and specially designed pre-dance program for toddlers up to 4.5 yrs
An enjoyable way for your toddler to develop physical and motor skills, channel energy, stimulate imagination and promote musical creativity
A highly social, playful, fun experience for you and your toddler

Fairywings & Sparkly Things provides opportunities for children to explore non-competitive, success-oriented results using body actions to communicate an image, idea or feeling.

Using a variety of props, including wings, wands, stick ponies, shakers, musical instruments, ribbons and so much more, their short attention spans are continuously challenged and stimulated. This program also teaches basic rhythmic and tonal competence, through singing and jam sessions using simple musical instruments.

(Babes in arms or carseats are welcome and encouraged to join in with their siblings as it is proven that it is never too early to introduce music and movement to a child. )

About the instructor: Patti O’Connor has been teaching creative movement & dance (tap, jazz, hip hop, baton & Irish) to children since 1980 and has developed Fairywings & Sparkly Things through a variety of experiences and training, including Music Together and Kindermusic certification courses.

With a background in dance and fitness spanning over 25 yrs, you have Patti’s promise that the classes are always safe, fun and interactive. Parents are encouraged to participate (your child is only young once and it feels incredible to get down to their level and find that inner child that still lives within all of us).
