P.E.A.C.E. – PROJECT EARTH, A CHILD’S EXPRESSION
This weekly club is created to bring out the best in your child by teaching them that no matter how small the
contribution…they can make a big impact in this world. Our focus is on "making a difference’ through the arts
by creating routines based on respect and appreciation for our planet and each other.
PROJECT EARTH, A CHILD’S EXPRESSION – P.E.A.C.E. is a wonderful opportunity for children to feel great
about giving back to others. A series of routines will be practiced weekly and performed for the community to
help raise money for a charity of the children’s collective choice. Songs are chosen with great care and no
experience is necessary. Every voice is heard and encouraged. Children of all ages work well together to
promote harmony and respect, children with disabilities are also warmly welcome. A wonderful DVD is created
out of the program and will be available for sale to help raise money and awareness for our cause. Colorful
Project Earth T-shirts are worn in the program, encouraging a sense of belonging and inclusion for all. Art and
music with special guest performers throughout the program will give children a chance to experience a
professionals’ contribution and to learn about never giving up on their dreams. Boosting self confidence is the
key to our mission and knowing that your child will leave knowing that their efforts were appreciated and
respected will be our greatest accomplishment.
**Patti created Project Earth in 2005 in her previous location (The Riverdale Rainbow Centre) and the
children of the RRC performed all over Toronto, with proceeds benefiting Nellie’s Shelter, the Red Door
Shelter, the Bloorview Kids Rehab Centre (for children surviving Cancer) and the Geneva Centre for
children with Autism as well as the St. Anne’s Food bank and Toronto Food bank. She is very proud to
offer this program to children in Durham and looks forward to creating smiles, tears of pride and memories
that will last a lifetime.
